Maissan Al Maskati
Maissan Al Maskati is a Managing Partner of Trucial Investment Partners, with over 15 years of experience in the Private Equity and Investment Banking sectors.
Prior to TIP, Maissan was a Managing Director at Dubai International Capital focusing on private equity investment in Europe, North America and the Middle East. In addition, Maissan served as Co-Head of DIC’s Middle East Private Equity business, and managed numerous investments including the leveraged buyouts of The Tussauds Group, Doncasters, Travelodge and Mauser, as well as the merger of Tussauds with Merlin Entertainments. Furthermore, Maissan has led the acquisitions of Almatis and the Rivoli Group, for which he became a member of the Board until their exit. He has also served as member of the Board of Jordan Dubai Capital, JDI Bank, and served as Chairman of Ishraq Gulf Real Estate Holding.
Maissan joined DIC in January 2005 from Banc of America Securities in London where he focused on mergers, acquisitions and capital raising in industrial sectors such as chemicals, logistics, packaging and defence. He completed his investment banking training with Banc of America Securities in New York, USA. Prior to that, he worked briefly with Merrill Lynch in Bahrain. Maissan is a UK FSA Registered Corporate Finance Advisor. He holds an MBA from Georgetown University, Washington D.C. and a B.Sc. in Economics & Political Science (with Honours) from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom.
He has also completed executive mergers & acquisitions education at Stanford Business School (Stanford University) in California, USA.
Rami Kilajian is a Managing Partner of Trucial Investment Partners, with over 15 years of experience in the Private Equity and Investment Banking sectors.
Prior to TIP, Rami was a Managing Director at Dubai International Capital since 2005 serving in a number of different roles, including most recently as Managing Director of Private Equity and Co-Head of the Middle East business. In his role at DIC, Rami was responsible for origination, structuring, managing and exiting investments across various sectors including Industrial, Telecom, Hospitality, Retail, and Infrastructure, having worked on transactions valued at more than US$10 billion in Europe, US and the Middle East. Rami played a lead role in numerous transactions involving the Mauser Group, Doncasters Group, KEF Holdings, Rivoli Group, Ishraq Gulf Real Estate Holding, and Oger Telecom. He also focused on fund structuring and capital raising, and was a key member in setting up the $300 million MENA Infrastructure Fund. Rami served as a Board member of Mauser Group (Board member), KEF Holdings (Board and IC member), Rivoli Group (Board member), Ishraq Gulf Real Estate Holding (Board member), MENA Infrastructure Fund (Board and IC member), CB Richard Ellis – Middle East (Board member).
Prior to joining DIC in 2005, Rami worked in the Investment Banking Division of Goetzpartners Corporate Finance in Paris where he focused on the Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) sector in Europe. Previously, he was an analyst in the IPC Group in Merrill Lynch in Paris covering the MENA region.
Rami holds a M.Sc. in Finance from ESCP-EAP in Paris and a B.Eng. in Industrial Engineering from the Lebanese American University.
Wael Al Hashimi
Wael Al Hashimi is an Executive Director of Trucial Investment Partners, with over 8 years of experience in the Private Equity sector.
Prior to TIP, Wael Al Hashimi was a Director at Dubai International Capital as a member of firm’s investment team, where he was responsible for evaluating, executing and managing investments in the Middle East and Europe. This included the $890 million refinancing of Mauser Group’s loan facility in 2013, and the subsequent sale of Mauser Group in 2014 for $1.7 billion. He was also part of the deal team responsible for the sales of UAE based Rivoli Group, ART Marine, and Ishraq Gulf Real Estate Holding.
During his time with DIC, Wael was also part of the Chairman’s Office, where he was involved in formulating the firm’s corporate strategy and governance initiatives, as well as evaluating the firm’s strategic investment opportunities. Wael was a member of the Board of Ishraq Gulf Real Estate Holding.
Prior to joining DIC in 2008, Wael received his MBA in International Business from the American InterContinental University of London, and his B.Sc. in Mathematics with Business Management from Queen Mary University London.
Toni Azar is a Director for Trucial Investment Partners, with over 12 years of experience in the Private Equity and Advisory Services sectors.
Prior to TIP, Toni was a Senior Associate within the portfolio management team of Dubai International Capital, and was responsible for performance monitoring and improvement initiatives at DIC’s portfolio companies, as well as assisting in transaction processes, investment appraisals, and due diligence assignments.
Prior to joining DIC in 2013, Toni worked in Deloitte’s Transaction and Restructuring Services Team in Dubai providing transaction support services on numerous complex cross-border buy and sell side transactions and corporate restructuring assignments. Prior to joining Deloitte, Toni worked as an equity research analyst at William O’Neil + Co. a Los Angeles based institutional broker dealer which provides recommendations and data research on global equities.
Toni holds a B.A. in Economics from Loyola Marymount University.
